  • Week beginning 20th September - climate change presentations!

    This week, P7 were challenged to work in pairs to research the damaging effects of climate change around the world. They took notes from news reports regarding the flash flooding in Germany during summer 2021, plus the wildfires that happened in Australia last year. They also used the WWF to research how different parts of the world and various animals are being affected by human actions.

  • Week beginning 13th September 2021

    Over the last few weeks we have been learning about buoyancy. We researched what buoyancy meant and then tested a number of items to see if they were buoyant. 

    Using this knowledge we then designed and created our own boats, ensuring they were able to float. 

    We then tested them in water and even attached a mini-propeller, so we could race them.

    We tested all the boats, most stayed afloat luckily but not all moved very much in the water! Nieve and Josh won our class competition so went on to race P6/7E resulting in a draw. The final tiebreaker will take place at the beach later in the term!
