Welcome to P3/4T

Class Trip - Edinburgh Zoo June 2018

On 5th June, we visited Edinburgh zoo and had a great day out exploring the animal enclosures in the sunshine. We also took part in a 'Discovering Animals' session in the Education Centre, giving us an insight into endangered animals and reasons for their endangered status.

Family Learning Fortnight - Animal Posters, May 2018

We invited our family members to our classroom to help us create posters about our favourite animals. We had to research various things, including whether the animal was invertebrate or vertebrate, find out facts about its habitat and also investigate a food chain involving it. We had a very busy time creating some really eye-catching posters with interesting facts. Huge thanks to all the family who visited!

Family Learning Fortnight - Food Tasting

During the Family learning calendar, P3/4T enjoyed a visit to Splash to see a cooking demonstration and take part in food tasting. The children enjoyed mussels, pasta and a creamy sauce, flatbread and salad with dressing.

Family Learning Fortnight - CPR

During the Family Learning fortnight, each class was trained by the emergency services to give CPR. The children really enjoyed the sessions and learned some crucial, life-saving skills.

Scratch Feb 2018

During this term the children in P3/4T have been introduced to simple computer programming using the Scratch website. We have been exploring how to animate sprites, add sounds and change appearances. You can visit the website at how and try out the various tutorial activities. Although we won't be creating individual accounts on Scratch (thus allowing saving of projects), you are free to do this at home, if you wish.
