Class Teacher Mrs Sanderson.
Here you will find pictures and information about what we have been learning in Primary 1.
All the children are settling into class well and learning about our school vision, values and aims. Please talk to your child about these and what it means to be Ready, Respectful and Safe.
This term we have PE every Tuesday and Thursday. Please make sure your child has shorts, t-shirt and gym shoes in a gym bag on these days. The gym bag can be left in school and please put your child's name on all PE kit.
Reading books will be sent out soon, please check your child's bag every day for their reading book and letters.
The children are having a busy time exploring their new classroom and have met Mary the Fairy.
Our Context for learning this term is Scotland. The class got off to a great start by making Macaroons with Mrs Patterson. The children will be bringing these home and asking you to guess the mystery ingredient.
We have been learning about Chinese New Year.
Our trip to Morrisons was very interesting. We learned about the different types of job people do there and all the things that are sold. We visited the bakery and the butcher's, the delicatessen and the fruit and vegetable aisles.
