Changing Water

This week we have been learning about how water can exist in different forms.  We did some experiments on Monday.  We tried melting ice using salt, warm water and cold water and learned that warm water and salt cause ice to melt faster.  We melted vinegar and water ice cubes using water mixed with bicarbonate of soda and enjoyed listening to the fizz.  We also made fruit juice ice lollies and added some chopped fruit.  We were aiming to make a healthier ice lolly.  As you can see from the photos, these were very much enjoyed.

The video shows the class trying to learn a song about freezing and melting.  I'm sure you'll agree, there's some great moves going on!
