Family Learning Fortnight - May 2016

P2H, P2/3G & P3Mc had a great time at their Open Afternoon on Tuesday 10th May.

Everyone had a chance to experience three activities.

Mrs Girrity taught  the  'We all live in Hymooth' song,

Miss McGlashan taught  the Gay Gordons

and Mrs Thomson showed how to make a 'I love Scotland' necklace.

We all got together in the hall at the end to show off our dancing and singing.

Thanks to everyone who came along and made the day special.

We have been looking at the artist John Bellany this block. He is famous for painting the harbours at Port Seton and Eyemouth. We love how he uses bright colours in his pictures. We created our own Eyemouth harbour scenes with a partner and used oil pastels to colour them.

We also enjoyed our Get Fizzy science workshop this week. We did some experiments using solids and liquids to see if we could produce any gas. It was great fun! Here are some of us as scientists...
